Hitler as Oedipus Rex

When Adolf Hitler and his Nationalsozialistiche Deutsche Arbeiterpartei came to power in 1933 the Jews comprised less then one per cent of the German population. Apart from small minorities like this the European Jews mainly lived in the East, in what the historian Timothy Snyder in a gret book with this name calls “the bloodlands” - Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and Ukraine, where 14 million individuals (not counting the soldiers) were murdered by Germany and the Soviet Union between 1933 and 1945. This was also were all the Nazi death camps were located, not inside Germany.

                      Another misconception many seem to share with the Nazi pseudoscience is that the Jews living in these Eastern areas of Europe were related genetically to Palestine and might have come here after the Jews were forced out from Spain after the Christian Kings conquered these Muslim territories. As already Jewish scholars in the 19^th century knew that is not the truth. In reality the Sephardic Jews of today’s Spain and Portugal were probably from Jewish communities that had risen among the North African Berber people, the same that under Islamic banner invaded the Iberian Peninsula some thirteen hundred years ago. Similarly, the East European Jews were neither they part of any Jewish bloodline going back to Jerusalem and Palestine. The Jewish historian Shlomo Sand, in his much discussed book on the discovery of the history of the non Palestinian Jews (and the nationalistically inflamed rejection of this theory) has shown the East European Jews most probably hailed from the old Khazan Kingdom.

                      This kingdom was located in Caucasus, just in the area were European linguists and other scholars had placed the origin of the Indo-Europeans that were the focus of Nazi racial theories, and whose original genetic qualities the Vernichtung together with the general deadly war on the non Aryans were meant to save. The Jewish religion was one of the monotheistic faiths that became so popular after the conversion of the Roman emperors. Judaism, just as this new religion and later Islam was a religion one could convert to. This happened among the Berbers and this seemed to have happened in the old Khazan kingdom, starting from the eight century. This great multicultural kingdom lasted for many centuries but as all others it had to yield under the Mongolian onslaught and from that time the Jewish Khazan community fled westwards eventually ending up Eastern Europe.

                      The Nazi pseudoscientific expeditions sent out to Asia by the Ahnenerbe, the Sven Hedin Institute and Heinrich Himmler would probably have come upon just the genetic material they were looking for in the East European Jews originally dating from the Caucasian Khazan kingdom. Instead, in an act of Olympic blindness they sent this people to the Death Camps, a crime that goes beyond all crimes. A genocide, but, unknowing to themselves, also a patricide as they were murdering their lost Arian ancestors. And Hitler struck by the Gods with self-inflected blindness, how chillingly suitable that he would spend his last days in the bunker with his Reich now carried on the back of children soldiers.
